Worship and other activities at St. John's are enhanced by the congregation's love and appreciation of music, both religious and secular. A well-maintained Moeller pipe organ and Baldwin grand piano in the sanctuary contribute to services. Other instruments often are added by amateurs and professionals who are encouraged also to use the facilities for recitals and concerts.

A senior and a junior choir lead the congregation in hymn singing and anthems under the directions of an organist/choir director.
